Screencast: Setting up Windows on Amazon EC2

I recorded a short screencast on how to set up a Windows instance on Amazon EC2. I didn’t use a script so I stutter a little bit, so I apologize for that. It’s 6:30 long and weighs in at about 14.5MB.

  • Handy information, it's always those little details that can take a long time to figure out, then once you know it's so easy. If you add another instance is it the equivalent of having two separate machines, each with SQL? I'd be interested to see a follow up screencast showing how to scale out a typical ASP.NET w/SQL Server application on EC2.
